MISSION:
The Howard Center is a private non-profit organization committed to providing effective and accessible mental health services in the community, for the benefit of the community. The Howard Center's evolution from a ladies aid and relief society in 1873 to Vermont's largest non-profit human services agency reflects major changes in the way we treat people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, emotional crises and substance abuse issues.

Our goal is to provide services in a manner that recognizes and promotes the self-worth and dignity of every child and adult.
