Chittenden Clinic

The Chittenden Clinic is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) known as a Hub in the Vermont Hub and Spoke system. We provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) to people with Opioid Use Disorder (methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone). We also provide professional, evidence-based counseling, case management and support services to address opioid and other substance use disorders, mental health issues and other psychosocial supports. The Chittenden Clinic is CARF accredited. We emphasize a holistic, recovery oriented, harm reduction approach to treatment.

Please call our referral line to complete an telephone screening (802 488-6450 option #1) or come in M-F at 7:30 a.m. sharp. The intake process takes 3 hours.

Services

Once an individual has completed the intake assessment and is accepted into treatment, a counselor will be assigned, a treatment plan will be developed and the patient will work toward achieving identified goals. Maintenance on methadone or buprenorphine will be monitored as will the use of other substances through frequent drug screens.  On site case managers or clinicians will assist in connecting individuals with needed services whether it be housing, insurance, employment, transportation, daycare, 12 step programs, etc. Patients will be eligible for take home medication once stabilized and working toward achieving identified goals.  In addition to substance abuse counseling, we will provide counseling to those with mental health issues or refer to other community providers if necessary. Consultation is provided by our medical team to those physicians who are working with individuals who may need more supportive care.

Our treatment program is open 7 days per week. We serve individuals eighteen years of age and older.
